Royce Gracie, Randy Couture, Ken Shamrock, Mark Coleman and Dan Severn will soon be joined by two additional members into the UFC’s Hall of Fame.
The announcement will be made at the UFC Fan Expo in Las Vegas on July 10.
Join us on Friday, July 10, immediately following UFC President, Dana White’s keynote address, as two worthy members of the UFC world will join the ranks of Dan Severn, Mark Coleman, Ken Shamrock, Randy Couture, and Royce Gracie when they are inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. You won’t want to miss this historical event happening right on the UFC Fan Expo show floor!
Obviously, the big question is who are they? Most speculation is pointed towards Chuck Liddell and Charles “Mask” Lewis, although Evan Tanner, Matt Hughes and several other names are being thrown around as well.
Any one of those is cool with me, but if I had my choice I’d go with someone who is no longer actively competing. The problem with that though is there’s hardly anyone left to choose from since no one seems to know how to actually permanently retire in this sport. Hell, even four out of the five already in the UFC Hall of Fame are still fighting (or at least trying to in Shamrock’s case).
Nevertheless, retired or not, most of the names I’ve seen deserve it, so I can’t imagine there will be too much complaining about the choices when the announcement is made.
Who do you think should be inducted?
