MoneyThe CBC has released the fighter payouts for UFC on Versus 1. Keep in mind, these figures represent the base contracted pay the fighter receives from the promotion. These figures do not include any additional bonuses or sponsorship money, which in many cases exceeds a fighter’s base pay. These numbers also do not account for taxes, insurance, and license fees.

The total payout for UFC on Versus 1 more closely resembled a UFC pay-per-view payroll than a free television event payout. After all bonuses were added in, the UFC paid out a total of $913,000 in purse and bonus money. Junior dos Santos, Cheick Kongo and Clay Guida all surpassed or hit the $100,000 mark. Jon Jones wasn’t far behind earning $90,000 for his monstrous win over Brandon Vera followed by John Howard with $76,000 for his equally thunderous victory over Daniel Roberts. Brandon Vera, Gabriel Gonzaga and veteran Vladimir Matyushenko each broke the $50,000 mark.
