Shark Fights made waves today with the announcement of their upcoming Shark Fights 13 card. For a regional show, the card is stacked from top to bottom with UFC, WEC, Strikeforce, EliteXC and DREAM veterans including Keith Jardine, Paul Daley, Houston Alexander, Sokoudjou, Joey Villasenor, Trevor Prangley, Brock Larson, Karen Darabedyan and Dave Herman.

In the official press release, Shark Fights president Brent Medley said that’s not even all, there are still more announcements to come.

According to Brent Medley, president of Shark Fight Promotions, “We are extremely excited about the line-up for Shark Fights 13. Our goal is to pull together a solid card with 10 very compelling fights and we are well on our way to accomplishing that. The full fight card is very close to being solidified.”

Medley went on to say, “I am currently negotiating with several high-profile fighters to fill in the gaps. Daley’s opponent and another stellar main card match-up will be announced soon. Shark Fight Promotions actually has several exciting announcements to make in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!”

Shark Fights 13 takes place on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum in Amarillo, Texas. Tickets go on sale on Monday, August 2. Not sure how you’ll be able to watch it yet, but there’s a rumor that it could end up airing on HDNet. An announcement is expected next week.
