It looks like the UFC has added another great fight to an already stacked UFC 126 card. According to Heavy.com, WEC vets Miguel Torres and Antonio Banuelos will make their UFC debuts on the Super Bowl weekend card in a bantamweight match-up that is all but guaranteed to produce fireworks.
Additionally, it was reported earlier today that another killer match-up match-up between Carlos Condit and Chris Lytle was penciled in for UFC 126, but it looks like that report was a little premature. According to Condit’s manager, nothing has been offered and it’s all talk at this point.
Reports of @CarlosCondit fighting feb 5 are not true… Stay posted and we’ll get you the right info once something is done
As far as who @CarlosCondit is fighting, we still don’t know as of yet. Hoping to have confirmation of something real soon.
Ok guys everyone is calling me in ref to @CarlosCondit…right now we have nothing set. Nothing really offered, nothing but talk…
Chris lytle has been lobbying for a fight with @CarlosCondit and I’ll try and see if @ufc is up for it. Otherwise everything is just a rumor
Showdown Joe has since corrected his report, saying the fight is a possibility for UFC 127, but that’s obviously a big question mark if Condit hasn’t even been offered the fight yet.
Speaking of UFC 127 though, MMA Fighting is reporting that the UFC is returning to Sydney, Australia on Feb. 27. The event will likely be held at the Acer Arena, the same venue that hosted UFC 110 last year.
