A once rumored middleweight bout between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Tim Kennedy appears to be back on the table. The rubber match was originally in the works for Strikeforce’s upcoming Jan. 29 event, but now it’s being targeted for Strikeforce’s March 5 Columbus card. MMA Mania first reported the possibility last week. Today, MMA Junkie confirmed it.

A middleweight bout between Tim Kennedy (12-3 MMA, 3-1 SF) and Jason “Mayhem” Miller (24-7 MMA, 1-1 SF) is expected to part of March’s “Strikeforce: Columbus” event.

A source close to one of the fighters told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) bout agreements are being finalized for the potential co-headliner.

Kennedy recently vented his frustration with Strikeforce’s middleweight division, claiming everyone from Robbie Lawler to Benji Radach refused to fight him. Who knows if that was actually the case, but at least Kennedy has a fight now, even if it’s against a guy he already fought twice.
