Strikeforce “Columbus” is official.

Strikeforce “Columbus” is scheduled to take place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, March 5, and will air on Showtime.

In the main event, Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante put his light heavyweight title on the line against former PRIDE champion Dan Henderson.

“Everybody knows about Dan Henderson and what he can do and how hard he hits,’” said Feijao. “This is going to be a very exciting fight. I worked very hard to get back to where I could fight for the title. Now that I have won it, I’ve been working even harder to keep it.’”

“I want to thank STRIKEFORCE for this opportunity to fight for the title,’’ said Henderson, a winner in four of his last five. “That last fight got me back on track. I’ll be ready for anything, but mostly I’m expecting a flat-our war.’’

In the co-main event, Marloes Coenen defends her women’s 135lb. championship against Miesha Tate. Other bouts announced for the card include Tim Kennedy vs. Luke Rockhold (Tim Kennedy vs. Jason “Mayhem” Miller was scrapped for unknown reasons), and Billy Evangelista vs. Jorge Masvidal.
