While most of the media attention has been focused on the UFC-Strikeforce deal in the past 48 hours, several upcoming fights have also been announced.

To start, UFC on Versus 4 has it’s first fight. MMA Weekly reported earlier today that heavyweight strikers Pat Barry and Cheick Kongo will meet on the card. MMA Junkie later confirmed the news, but added that the fight is only verbally agreed to, not signed. UFC on Versus 4 is expected to take place on June 26, but a venue and location hasn’t been nailed down yet.

Next up is a lightweight bout between Melvin Guillard and Shane Roller at UFC 132 on July 2 in Las Vegas. As you may remember, Guillard is coming off his first round destruction of Evan Dunham at Fight for the Troops 2 while Roller recently pulled off a shocking come-from-behind KO against Thiago Tavares at UFC on Versus 3. Roller’s knockout was impressive but Guillard should take this one if he can keep it standing.

Kid Yamamoto will return at UFC 130 against Chris Cariaso. Yamamoto was unsuccessful in his UFC debut when he failed to stop Demetrious Johnson’s takedowns at UFC 126. This fight will mark Kid’s second shot at his first UFC victory.

Other UFC fights reported in the last 48 hours:

UFC 130: Demetrious Johnson vs. Renan Barao
UFC 131: Mac Danzig vs. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone
UFC 131: Sam Stout vs. Yves Edwards
TUF 13 Finale: Matt Brown vs. Rich Attonito
