It looks like Ryan Bader got his wish, and Tito Ortiz didn’t.

Bader recently told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that he wanted to fight Tito in his next fight, however Tito told Inside MMA that he wasn’t interested in building anyone’s career and only wanted to fight “big names,” namely Forrest Griffin.

Well, it seems the UFC wasn’t all that concerned with what Tito wanted, at least not enough to give him the fight he wanted, because MMA Weekly is reporting that Tito Ortiz vs. Ryan Bader is going down at UFC 132 on July 2.

Tito Ortiz is ready to step back in the Octagon and he will have a very tough test ahead of him when he does as he will face Ryan Bader at UFC 132 in July.

Sources close to the fight confirmed the bout to on Monday.

Nothing has changed. Tito will still be fighting for his UFC career, and this is arguably a tougher mach-up for him than Lil’ Nog would have been this coming weekend had he not had his head busted open in training. Bader is basically a younger, faster version of Tito with better striking and more power in his hands. It’s hard to see how Tito comes out on top in this one and saves his job in the UFC.
