“I will beat the brakes off most of the guys in the middleweight divisions in the UFC. I guaran-damn-tee it… First of all, I’m glad that the Ultimate Fighter is getting back on track by putting two guys who are going to be absolutely entertaining on the television. You got the Republitard vs. The Limey. It’s going to be great. It’s a step in the right direction. But I still say, give me a break. I’m way more entertaining, and I’ll beat both of those guys up.”
— Mayhem Miller talking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour about UFC middleweights Chael Sonnen and Michael Bisping (who by the way are now unlikely for TUF 14)
Mayhem Miller hasn’t been a Strikeforce cage since he beat an unknown Tim Stout last April on the Strikeforce “Nashville” undercard. So what’s the deal? He isn’t injured and he was rumored for half a dozen fights in the past six months, but for whatever reason, Mayhem has yet to make it back to the cage. He isn’t telling, but judging by his comments, it does seem like he has a very keen interest in fighting in the UFC and he’s willing to trash talk his way back into the organization.
Time will tell if that’s where Mayhem ends up, but don’t expect that once hot grudge match with Nick Diaz to ever happen. Mayhem says “we’re way past that.” He doesn’t even want to talk about it because the situation became “so ridiculous.”
