In addition to UFC 130, DREAM.17 “Fight for Japan” is also going down next weekend. The majority of the card has been booked for weeks — a welcomed, but rare occurrence in Japanese MMA — however they’ve been having a heck of time trying to lock down an opponent for Shinya Aoki. In short, they went through four opponents — Willamy Freire, Jamie Varner, Antonio McKee and Shane Nelson — before finally settling on Rich Clementi who has verbally agreed to the fight according to Sherdog. Considering how things have gone though, don’t be surprised if Clementi isn’t the last fight to take a ride on the Shinya Aoki carousel.
