Wanderlei Silva is the definition of a fighter. It’s what he knows. It’s who he is. As such, it would be foolish to expect him to just give in to Dana White’s call for him to retire following his 27 KO loss to Chris Leben at UFC 132.

In fact, Wanderlei isn’t thinking about retirement at all. He only has one thing on his mind and that’s “revenge,” as he tweeted earlier today.

I cried, I felt ashamed of you, I thought a lot of crap, but now only think of one thing: Revenge boss

As much as Wand wants another crack at Chris Leben though, it seems pretty unlikely that he’ll get it. For one, I doubt Dana is willing to put him back in the cage with the guy who just knocked him unconscious in 27 seconds, and two, Dana wants him to retire, even if he has to “Chuck Liddell him into it.” A Wand-Leben rematch just doesn’t make any sense on any rational level.

Where that leaves them, I don’t know, but my money’s on Wanderlei getting back in the cage one way or another, just not against Chris Leben.
