October is officially stacked.

After yesterday’s parade of fight announcements for UFC 136 which included Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard 3, Melvin Guillard vs. Joe Lauzon and Demian Maia vs. Jorge Santiago, they went ahead and one more major fight to the card today — a featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Kenny Florian. The fight will co-headline the card along with Edgar-Maynard 3.

When you have two UFC in pay-per-views in one month, one card is usually noticeably stronger than the other, but that isn’t necessarily the case this time around. UFC 137 already features three great match-ups in Georges St. Pierre vs. Nick Diaz, Cheick Kongo vs. Matt Mitrione and Mirko Cro Cop vs. Roy Nelson. Those fights alone make UFC 137 a solid event, but the UFC has gone and stacked the deck with the previously rumored BJ Penn vs. Carlos Condit fight as well.

Simply put, October is going to be a huge month for UFC fans.

Update: Another solid bout is the works for UFC 137. Five Oz. first reported that Sam Stout would meet Dennis Siver on the card, and MMA Junkie has since confirmed it.

Update: These fight announcements are non-stop. The UFC has also added Brandon Vera vs. Elliot Marshall to UFC 137 and Anthony Pettis vs. Jeremy Stephens to UFC 136.
