Following his big win over Brendan Schaub, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira asked for a rematch with Frank Mir and he got it. The UFC revealed earlier today that the rematch will go down at UFC 140.

A heavyweight standoff between two big names has been booked for December, as former UFC heavyweight champions Minotauro Nogueira and Frank Mir have verbally agreed to rematch at UFC 140 in Toronto.

“Both men are known as two of the premiere submission specialists in the division but have shown dangerous striking skills as well,” said UFC president Dana White.

Everyone wrote off Big Nog before he fought Brendan Schaub and look what happened. Can he shock us all again in Toronto?

That’s not the only rematch that was revealed today. UFC officials also confirmed that Nam Phan will get the opportunity to avenge his controversial loss to Leonard Garcia at UFC 136. Phan was originally scheduled to face Matt Grice but he withdrew with an injury.
