A pair of welterweight match-ups — Thiago Alves vs. Martin Kampmann and Diego Sanchez vs. Jake Ellenberger — were reported this past week, but it was previously unknown which events they would compete at. Well, it looks like we have some answers.

The UFC has confirmed that Alves and Kampmann will face off on the second FX fight night card, which is believed to be titled UFC on FX 2. The UFC didn’t specify the exact date, but several reports have indicated that it would take place on March 3. The venue is still unknown.

As for Sanchez-Ellenberger fight, MMA Junkie is reporting that it will headline a Feb. 15 card on FUEL TV. Omaha’s CenturyLink Center will host the event. Perhaps I missed something during the big FOX deal announcement, but I wasn’t even aware they were doing full live events on FUEL TV, just prelim specials and some overseas stuff. Apparently I was wrong. It’s kind of a bummer since I can’t get FUEL TV and I’m guessing the majority of you can’t either.
