Some major UFC news broke late this afternoon.

First up, there’s been a big shake-up in the UFC on FOX 2 line-up. Dana White announced via Twitter today that Mark Munoz has withdrawn from UFC on FOX 2 with an injury and now Michael Bisping will meet Chael Sonnen in a middleweight number one contender’s match.

Munoz is injured and out of the FOX fight! Now it’s Chael Sonnen vs Mike Bisping jan 28th and the winner will fight Anderson for the title.

Bisping was set to face Demian Maia before the shuffle occurred. It’s unclear if Maia will fight someone else or be pulled from the card entirely.

It seems the trash talk between Sonnen and Bisping has already begun. Sonnen and Bisping issued the following comments via the UFC’s twitter account.

Chael: “I am going to knock the teeth out of this snot nosed Brit who calls himself royalty, who calls himself a Count. I am MMA royalty and America will tune into the Chael Sonnen show next Saturday on FOX.”

Bisping: “He’s been kicked out of politics, kicked out of real estate, and I am going to kick him out of the middleweight division.”

In other big UFC news, The Canadian Press is reporting that the UFC has scrapped plans to return to Montreal in late March for what was going to be UFC 145.

The UFC has postponed its March show in Montreal.

UFC 145 was scheduled for March 24 at the Bell Centre. But the UFC has shelved it for the time being, citing complications in scheduling and a desire to deliver a “championship card.”

The card was close to filling up but lacked a main event. It sounds like they wanted to book a championship fight — probably at light heavyweight since that’s the only division it would have been remotely feasible in — but it apparently didn’t come together in time.

Most of the fights that were booked will move over to the Atlanta pay-per-view on April 21, according to the report.
