The man with one of the best nicknames in all of MMA, Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim, will welcome Demian Maia to the UFC’s welterweight division.

UFC officials announced Wednesday that Kim and Maia will be part of the UFC 148 card scheduled for later this year. It is expected to take place on July 7 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Maia (15-4) is dropping down from the middleweight division where he once challenged current UFC champion Anderson Silva. Following a loss to Chris Weidman, Maia decided to make the move down a weight class.

In Kim (15-1-1), Maia will not receive an easy opponent. Outside of a loss to UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit, Kim has looked strong in wins over Amir Sadollah, Nate Diaz and Sean Pierson.

UFC 148 is expected to feature UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz against No. 1 contender Urijah Faber. Other announced matches include Tito Ortiz-Forrest Griffin, Rich Franklin-Cung Le, and Michael Bisping-Tim Boetsch.
