An interesting heavyweight match up is on pace to take place at UFC 149, as multiple Canadian sources are reporting that Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will face Cheick Kongo.

The card, which takes place July 21 from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, recently lost Jose Aldo. The UFC featherweight champion was slated to compete, but is likely headed to UFC 147 in Brazil.

Nogueira (33-7-1) is returning from a broken arm suffered against Frank Mir in 2011. “Big Nog” is now 4-3 in his UFC career, including a much-needed knockout victory over Brendan Schaub prior to the defeat against Mir.

Kongo (17-7-2) had his modest two-fight win streak snapped by Mark Hunt earlier this year in Japan, as Hunt earned a TKO victory.
