Rory MacDonald gave a sterling performance in the co-main event of UFC 145 recently, dominating Che Mills before securing a technical knockout victory.

With the win, MacDonald improved to 13-1 overall, with the lone loss coming at the hands of current UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit.

The five-tool-youngster has shown several different variations of himself already inside the Octagon. He trains with UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre at the Tristar Gym in Canada, providing him a stern test every day of the week.

During a recent interview with SportsNet 590 The Fan, MacDonald made some brash comments about where he feels he stacks up in the 170 pound division.

I think I could beat anybody in the division right now. I know my skill level. I’ve evolved so much, added so many tools to my game. I feel like I’ve put so many things in my game that I can be aggressive but technical at the same time.

MacDonald and St-Pierre have both said they will not fight each other, and MacDonald is still a few more wins off being in the title-talk. However, with the hype continuing to grow, it is only a matter of time before the Canadian takes GSP’s spotlight in the class.
