The tension in the air will be at an all time high when Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen step inside the Octagon on July 7 at UFC 148 in a UFC middleweight championship match.

Sonnen, who has made it his career-quest to go after everything and anything that Silva holds true, continued to do so during a press conference that both fighters attended. “The Spider,” however, did not fall into the trap of verbal warfare, as he told Tatame in a recent interview.

There’s not much to be said. Chael Sonnen talks alone. It’s not a game. I don’t like him. He disrespected my country, my family; so there’s nothing like it.

Silva added that he is, “disappointed” the fight is not taking place in Brazil, but that it doesn’t change much because a fight is a fight. Silva defeated Sonnen via fifth round submission in their first meeting.
