What has been rumored for several months now appears set, as MMA Weekly is reporting that Nate Marquardt and Tyron Woodley will do battle for the vacant Strikeforce welterweight title.

The card, which will take place in Portland, Oregon in July, will also feature Tim Kennedy-Luke Rockhold for Rockhold’s Strikeforce middleweight title, and a match up between Roger Gracie and Keith Jardine.

Marquardt (31-10) is a former contender in the UFC, but was released after a failed pre-fight drug test. He signed with the British promotion BAMMA, but never made an appearance inside the cage.

Woodley (10-0) has vaulted himself up the Strikeforce ladder with recent wins over the likes of Tarec Saffiedine, Paul Daley and Jordan Mein.
