The rematch between Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar for the UFC lightweight title is now official for UFC 150.

UFC president Dana White confirmed the booking on “UFC Tonight” this week. The two will meet in the main event on August 11 from Denver’s Pepsi Center.

Several sources have been mentioning the fight as a possibility for that card for several weeks now, but it seemed as if a broken nose suffered by Edgar in the loss to Henderson would keep it from going down on that date.

“Smooth” scored a decision victory over Edgar earlier this year at UFC 144 in Japan, coming out on top on all three judges scorecards. At first, White had mentioned Anthony Pettis as the first opponent for the new champ, but Edgar was able to secure the rematch, much like he had been forced to do when he won the title from B.J. Penn.
