Former UFC welterweight contender and ex-Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz left the crowd at the World Jiu-Jitsu Expo empty-handed Saturday night, failing to show for a planned super-fight with Braulio Estima.

Diaz was set to donate his purse to charity, but left the crowd, Estima and many in the MMA and jiu-jitsu community extremely upset.

Estima, who arrived from England, turned down a bout with Robert Drysdale in place of Diaz. He took to the house microphone after Diaz never showed up and expressed his frustration.

“For Nick, I gave up a lot of things to make this happen. I came here to fight. You said that you were going to give this all to charity, make all these speeches and stuff. I’m here now. You let everyone down. You let me down. I think this is very disrespectful. I didn’t expect this from you.”

Estima added that he would be willing to face Diaz in an MMA fight, but that appears highly unlikely.

The card featured Kyra Gracie defeating Alexis Davis in one of five jiu-jitsu bouts. Renzo Gracie, who put on the event, told the crowd the main event was off because a no-show by Diaz.
