Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier will finally complete the year-long Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Saturday night in San Jose. Both fighters came in well under the heavyweight limit, making their main event fight official.
Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Cormier fighters weighed in on Friday. Along with the main event, Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez will defend his title against Josh Thomson. Both men came in at 153 pounds.
The only issue with the weigh-ins came from James Terry, who weighed in at 156.25 pounds. An issue with the scale calibration seemed to cause the problem with Terry’s weight.
MMA Convert will have complete coverage of the entire event, with the prelims being broadcast on Showtime Extreme and the main card on Showtime.
