Alan Belcher scored his fourth consecutive victory earlier this month by defeating Rousimar Palhares at UFC on FOX: Diaz vs. Miller.

Since the bout, Palhares has talked about struggles with his health in the lead-up to the fight.

Well, it appears Belcher has heard enough, as he responded to those claims via his Twitter account on Wednesday.

“I have been respectful to Palhares and was told by his camp before AND after our fight that he was in the best shape of his life,” Belcher wrote. “And btw I was 100% either, most fighters aren’t completely free and clear of injury.”

Palhares has told Tatame, a Brazilian news source, that he was “too sick,” before the Belcher fight. He added that he didn’t want to use it as an excuse or take credit from Belcher, but he was “literally” dead.
