Josh Koscheck wasn’t the fighter to get BJ Penn out of retirement.

However, Rory MacDonald would seem to be that guy, as Penn accepted MacDonald’s recent challenge on his own personal website, Tuesday evening.

“Rory, I accept your challenge,” Penn wrote.

MacDonald (13-1) requested a match with Penn while appearing on The MMA Hour recently. He has won three consecutive fights since a loss to Carlos Condit.

Penn (16-8-2) will be appearing on Just Scrap Radio on Thursday to discuss his return to fighting. He announced his retirement last year after a loss to Nick Diaz, but has said he would return if the right fight presented itself.

The targeted date for the MacDonald-Penn fight is UFC 152 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on September 22.
