Josh Neer and Mike Pyle have competed against many of the top names in the history of MMA. This evening, at UFC on FX: Johnson vs. McCall, the two welterweights will square off against one another in the co-main event.

Neer has won six consecutive fights, including two in a row since re-joining the UFC roster. Pyle, meanwhile, is seeking a second straight victory inside the Octagon and fifth in his last six bouts.

“Mike’s a veteran,” said Neer, in a recent pre-fight interview with the UFC. “I think he’s pretty good at everything, but that’s what I am, so I think it’s going to be a good fight. I feel like my advantage is definitely on the feet.”

Neer (33-10-1) has scored 17 career knockout victories and owns 12 wins by submission. Pyle (22-8-1) owns 16 career submission triumphs and three via KO.

“He seems a little bit uncomfortable on the feet,” Neer said. “He’s good on the ground, decent on the feet, but I definitely feel like I have the striking advantage.”
