Paul Daley didn’t have the kind of Strikeforce career he was expecting.
Now, “Semtex” is no longer a Strikeforce fighter, as the promotion granted him his release, according to a report by MMA Weekly provided by Wad Alameddine of Fight Management Limited.
“I’m happy that Strikeforce has granted my request to be released from their roster as I found it difficult to fight so infrequently,” Daley said. “My whole career I’ve wanted to fight as often as possible as it keeps me in the best form and condition.”
Daley (29-12-2) went just 1-3 in his four Strikeforce fights. He was released by the UFC after a cheap shot on Josh Koscheck.
Daley is fielding offers from other MMA promotions and thinking about taking kickboxing bouts, as well.
