It has been said on a number of instances that UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has cleaned out the division.

Well, UFC president Dana White is here to say that – once again – is not the case.

“Every time you think there’s not another contender for Anderson Silva, now there’s like four-or-five (more),” said White, during the pre-fight press conference for UFC 149 Thursday.

Silva defeated Chael Sonnen recently for his 10th successful title defense of the belt.

Fighters such as Chris Weidman, Michael Bisping, Hector Lombard and Tim Boetsch all believe they are either in contention or a win away from taking on “The Spider.”

White went on to say that after this Saturday night, when Lombard and Boetsch square off, he is hoping to be able to figure out plans for the middleweights going forward.
