Ian McCall, who was one of four fighters selected to take part in the first-ever UFC flyweight tournament, will not have the chance to secure his first win inside the Octagon next month.

McCall, who was scheduled to face John Moraga on August 4 at UFC on FOX 4, has pulled out of the fight. McCall, via The Underground, cited a knee injury as his reason for cancelling the contest.

I was forced to withdraw days ago. I popped my knee last week, got an MRI this week, only an LCL sprain thank god no tear.

McCall, a former champion, is 11-3-1 in his MMA career. Moraga (10-1) was set to make his UFC debut. It remains unknown if a fighter will be inserted to face Moraga, if the bout will remain off the card completely.
