Hector Lombard has had just one appearance inside the UFC’s famed Octagon, and many believe the former Bellator middleweight champion isn’t cut out for the 185-pound division.

Lombard was defeated over the weekend by Tim Boetsch, and even UFC president Dana White made mention of Lombard possibly moving down to welterweight next.

Well, that doesn’t appear to be in the cards for Lombard, as discussed on Twitter recently.

I feel strong at 185 just because I had a bad fight does not mean that I am going to drop to 170.

Lombard had a 25-fight unbeaten streak snapped by Boetsch, who moved himself one step closer to a possible title shot with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Lombard, a former Olympian from Cuba, was thought to be a challenger to “The Spider” if he had defeated Boetsch.
