Frankie Edgar is missing something that he has grown fond of.

That is the UFC lightweight championship, which is currently around the waist of Benson Henderson.

The two will square off on August 11 in the main event of UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II from Denver, Colorado.

Edgar (14-2-1) suffered just his second career loss when Henderson (16-2) scored a decision victory over him earlier this year. The UFC, after much deliberation, granted Edgar an immediate rematch.

I’m taking it (the UFC title) home, it’s missing its home. I am going to beat Benson Henderson and my hand is going to be raised August 11. The belt belongs to me, Frankie Edgar.

Edgar has been involved in three immediate rematches in a row for the belt. After claiming it from BJ Penn he defeated Penn for a second consecutive time to retain the belt.

After that, Edgar was thrown into a match with Gray Maynard. The two fought to a draw, but Edgar earned the win in the third encounter.

Now, he is placed in the role of challenger against Henderson, a former WEC lightweight champion, as well.
