Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard put on an epic trilogy of fights.

Edgar and current UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson will have to wait a little bit longer to do the same.

Henderson will defend his title against Edgar Saturday night at UFC 150. UFC president Dana White confirmed on Fuel TV Friday that Nate Diaz will be signed to face the winner.

Some have questioned if Henderson loses a close decision, will he be given an immediate rematch like Edgar. White has been very outspoken in wanting to get some new faces into the title scene at 155 pounds, and that means Diaz is the No. 1 contender.

Yes, Nate Diaz will fight the winner.

Diaz defeated Jim Miller earlier this year after earning a decision victory over Donald Cerrone to close out 2011. It has been rumored that Diaz could face the winner in December on the next Fox-televised card.
