UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has a tall frame and could easily pack on a few pounds of muscle and move up to 145 pounds.

However, for now, “The Dominator” is content with remaining in the division he has controlled for the past few years.

“I’m happy at 135 right now,” said Cruz, during a recent interview with MMAjunkie.com Radio. “I’ve been cutting weight for so long. It always sucks; it’s never fun.”

Cruz, who is rehabbing from knee surgery, added, “right now, I can make 135.”

Since defending his belt against Demetrious Johnson last year, Cruz has been missing in action from the Octagon. He was a coach opposite Urijah Faber on The Ultimate Fighter, but suffered his knee injury and was knocked from a planned fight.

Renan Barao went on to capture the interim UFC bantamweight title, and is likely set to face Cruz early in 2013.
