Rory MacDonald decided to take a page out of Frank Mir’s playbook recently.

MacDonald, who was knocked out of a planned September encounter with former UFC champion BJ Penn, made an in-ring-threat of death towards Penn while appearing on a recent radio show on

Not only do I know I’m going to win, but I’ll probably end up killing him in the process.

Mir, a former UFC heavyweight champion, remarked once that he wouldn’t mind seeing Brock Lesnar die inside the Octagon. The words came under heavy scrutiny by many, including UFC president Dana White.

MacDonald, who will now face Penn at UFC on Fox 5, was asked about comments made by “The Prodigy” in regards to his exit from their first planned fight. MacDonald suffered a deep cut in training after catching an elbow during a sparring session.
