UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is following the same path at Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre.

Both Silva and GSP seemed to have cleaned out their divisions before new challengers arose.

Now, with Jones preparing for his fourth title defense vs. Vitor Belfort this Saturday night at UFC 152, “Bones” was asked if he is nearing the end of his run at 205 pounds?

“In now way have I ‘cleared out’ the division,” said Jones, during open workouts Wednesday. “Everyone’s style is a puzzle for me, and who knows which style I will have the most trouble with. I’m about to fight my fifth straight UFC champion – which I was told is a UFC record – and I’m very proud of fighting the best guy available in each of my fights.”

Since winning the belt from Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Jones has defended it successfully vs. Quinton Jackson, Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans.

“That’s how you build a legacy in (this sport),” Jones said. “Vitor Belfort is a UFC original, a real, true legend. He will have something planned for me, and I’ve prepared to react to anything he does.”
