When Carlos Condit enters the Octagon in November to face Georges St-Pierre, he will do so with one focus: on being the best fighter he can be.

The two will meet at UFC 154 to determine the unified UFC welterweight champion. The event was officially announced at a press conference in Montreal Thursday.

Condit’s been waiting on the sidelines for months to face GSP, and has been training himself to become the best “Natural Born Killer” possible, instead of trying to find a weakness in St-Pierre to exploit.

I think a lot of Georges’ opponents in the past looked at at Georges and said this is where he’s weak, this is where I can beat him; that was a mistake. Georges is truly the best fighter in the world and that is not the approach I am taking. My approach is to be the best I can be (come November).

Condit downed Nick Diaz to win the interim title, but understands that to be called the best 170-pounder in the world, he needs to defeat GSP.

My goal in this sport is to be the best in the world. Georges St-Pierre is the best fighter in the welterweight division. He has proven that time and time again. So, to be the best, I have to beat Georges.
