Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Vinny Magalhaes saw the perfect opponent for him this past weekend in Brazil.

Magalhaes, who recently returned to the UFC and scored a victory over Igor Pokrajac, feels as though a bout with Phil Davis would make for a perfect match up.

“I wish Joe Silva could send Phil Davis my way at some point,” Magalhaes posted on Twitter recently.

Davis (10-1) scored a submission victory via anaconda choke over Wagner Prado at UFC 153 in Rio de Janeiro over the weekend. The win helped put “Mr. Wonderful” back on the right track, as he was defeated by Rashad Evans earlier this year and had a no-contest with Prado in their first meeting.

Magalhaes (10-5) has won six fights since a loss to Pedro Galiza in 2010. Four of those have come via submission, while the other two are TKO victories.
