UFC president Dana White has been growing more and more vocal about his growing interest in women’s MMA over the past few months.

Much of that has to do with the skyrocketing fame Ronda Rousey has experienced since becoming the Strikeforce women’s champion.

“As far as women’s MMA goes, I’m warming up to it, thinking about sticking my toe in it and seeing how this thing goes,” said White, while in Brazil over the weekend. “(Cris) Cyborg is one of the best in the world, and Ronda Rousey is another one. We’ll see what happens.”

These comments could also be taken a different way, as White’s interest in female fighters could mean the end of Strikeforce is around the corner – much like everyone has predicted since Zuffa purchased the promotion.

One of White’s biggest concerns with adding female divisions is a lack of depth, but the recent surge in Invicta FC – an all-female promotion – would give him a chance to scout plenty of worthy fighters.
