Alistair Overeem will be a keen observer this December when Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez battle for the UFC heavyweight title.

Overeem, who is currently suspended, is likely to face the winner in early 2013 unless he either takes another fight or the champion is forced to the sidelines with an injury.

So, who does “The Reem” believe will come out on top? He told MMA Interviews recently his prediction:

“I think Cain is gonna do good in this next fight. I think he’s gonna get the belt. I felt so the first time, then he lost the belt, but I think this time could be different. So, I’ll not be fighting dos Santos for the belt, but (will face) Cain.”

Dos Santos wanted Overeem after the former Strikeforce heavyweight champion called him out. The UFC was unable to book the fight for this year, however, as his fight license was denied by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
