Stefan Struve has his sights set on making a statement in the UFC’s heavyweight division.

Struve (25-5) is 9-3 with the promotion, and coming off a victory over Stipe Miocic earlier this month.

Now, the 7-footer wants someone such as Fabricio Werdum, Antonio Silva or former interim UFC heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, as he told Tatame recently.

I think they are great challenges for me. Much has been said about my fight with Werdum or with ‘Bigfoot,’ but also talk a lot about ‘Minotauro.’ I am a fan of (Nogueira).

Struve believes he is on the cusp of entering the title conversation, and knows a win over one of those three Brazilian fighters would push him to that spot.

I think I’m one or two fights away from my title shot. A win over Silva, Werdum or ‘Minotauro’ should put me closer to achieving my biggest goal.

Silva and Nogueira recently competed, with Silva defeating Travis Browne and Nogueira stopping Dave Herman. Werdum has been out of action since the summer when he defeated Mike Russow.
