The UFC has started to work its way towards 2013, as a pair of bouts were recently announced by the Brazilian news source Tatame for a January event in the South America country.

Yuri Alcantara will face off with Johnny Eduardo, while Godofredo Castro meets Milton Vieira. Both fights are expected for the January 19 card from Brazil, though no official venue has been confirmed by the UFC.

Alcantara (27-4) will be moving down to bantamweight to meet Eduardo (26-9), while Castro (8-1) was a runner-up on the first TUF: Brazil show and will be facing a fellow castmate in Vieira (13-7-2).

In December, Mike Pierce will step in for an injured Kyle Noke and face Seth Baczynski at UFC on FX: Sotiriopoulos vs. Pearson.

Pierce (15-5) has won seven of his 10 UFC fights, while Baczynski (17-6) is on six-fight win streak.

And finally, former Ultimate Fighter competitors John Cofer (7-2) and Mike Rio (8-1) will meet at The Ultimate Fighter Finale 16 in December, as well.
