Lightweights Edson Barboza and Justin Salas are slated to square off in January, according to a report by the Brazilian news source Tatame.

Barboza confirmed the contest on Friday night in an interview. The fight is slated for the January UFC card from Brazil, though nothing has been confirmed by the UFC.

Barboza (10-1) was handed his first career loss earlier this year, as Jamie Varner upset him. The Brazilian had won his previous four UFC bouts.

Salas (10-4) has gone 1-1 in two Octagon appearances, including a loss to Tim Means in his last bout.
