Cung Le has worn championship gold and been featured in major motion films.

However, not even Le expected the kind of feelings he felt following his win over Rich Franklin Saturday at UFC on Fuel TV 6.

“I’ve got to saw, ‘Wow!'” said Le, during a post-fight interview on Fuel TV. “It’s like a dream. I feel like I’m in a dream right now. Thank you, Lord.”

Le, a former Strikeforce champion, improved to 2-1 inside the Octagon when he telegraphed a Franklin kick and landed an overhand right. “Ace,” a former UFC champion himself, felt face-first into the canvas.

“I just saw him timing my kicks, so I waited for him to punch and then threw that right and I got lucky and hit him. That was a money punch.”

While Le is 40-years-old, he doesn’t have the body of a 40-year-old fighter, having competed just 11 times professional between filming movies. Retirement is on the horizon, he said, but not the immediate future.

“If I can do it as long as I live, I’ll do it,” Le said. “But I know my clock is ticking, so I am just doing my best.”
