It appears Bellator light heavyweight champion Christian M’Pumbu finally has a set date for his first title defense.

M’Pumbu will put his belt on the line against Attila Vegh at Bellator 84 in December. MMAjunkie.com first reported news of the bout being official.

M’Pumbu (18-4-1) won the season four tournament, defeating current season seven heavyweight finalist Rich Hale. He has not fought since October of last year, topping Travis Wiuff in a non-title fight.

Vegh (25-7-2) is a perfect 4-0 in Bellator, including a win over Wiuff in a recent tournament final to secure the title shot.
