Carlos Condit was inserted into a UFC welterweight title match with Georges St-Pierre at UFC 137 back in 2011.

However, St-Pierre was unable to make the match and it was scrapped.

Condit remained inactive until early in 2012 when he defeated Nick Diaz to become the interim UFC welterweight champion. This Saturday night, he faces St-Pierre at UFC 154 for the unified title.

“The Natural Born Killer” was asked during a recent press conference if he feels more prepared to meet GSP now than back in 2011.

I would say my chances this time around are substantially better. I have had a year to work on things in my game, skills I need to compete and beat Georges. I feel much better this time around.

Condit, a former WEC champion, is 28-5 in his career and has won five straight since a split decision loss to Martin Kampmann.
