Light heavyweight contenders Dan Henderson and Lyoto Machida appear headed for a meeting at UFC 157, according to a report by Tatame.

The Brazilian news outlet posted on Monday that Henderson and Machida will collide from Anaheim, California on February 23. Initial reports had them competing earlier in the month, but that card appears nearly full at the top.

Both Henderson and Machida view themselves as the top contender in the division, so the winner will likely receive a title shot in 2013 barring any future injuries.

Henderson, a former Strikeforce champion, is coming off a knee injury that knocked him out of a planned meeting with UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Machida, meanwhile, stopped Ryan Bader this past summer and was named the No. 1 contender to the title. However, the ex-champion turned down a short notice fight with Jones and UFC president Dana White told him he would need to compete again before receiving a title match.
