Jay Silva, who is now going by the monicker “Da Spyda Killa” after defeating Kendall Grove, has signed a multi-fight deal with the Canadian-based Maximum Fighting Championship.

Silva will make his debut for the MFC on February 15 at MFC 36: Reality Check. An opponent is expected to be announced shortly.

“Jay Silva is a huge talent, and can become an absolute wrecking machine in the Maximum Fighting Championship,” MFC owner/president Mark Pavelich said. “The rest of the middleweight division should take notice now because a rejuvenated, reincarnated Jay Silva is coming to the MFC.”

Silva is 8-6 in his career and was recently defeated in Poland by Michael Materla. His UFC career included a pair of losses to CB Dollaway and Chris Leben, and he was also knocked out by Hector Lombard in Bellator.
