Not wanting to cause any kind of a jinx, UFC president Dana White remarked how excited he was that UFC on Fox 5’s main card avoided the dreaded injury bug.

In fact, the card actually took advantage of it, as the planned BJ Penn-Rory MacDonald match was moved from an earlier bout after MacDonald suffered a cut.

You know how happy I am to be up here, standing with all the guys that were picked to fight on the card,” White said. “We loved the card. Fox loved the card. The fans loved the card. The fact that it stayed together….I am gonna make sure nobody falls of this (expletive) podium).

The event features a UFC lightweight title match between Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz, along with a co-main event to determine the No. 1 contender at 205 pounds between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Alexander Gustafsson.
