UFC president Dana White is not giving up on holding an event in the mecca of sports: Madison Square Garden.

In fact, White has already reserved a date for November and even has a main event in his mind. Of course, the UFC boss didn’t reveal that fight just yet.

“I plan on being in New York in 2013 for the UFC’s 20th anniversary,” White said, following the UFC 155 post-fight press conference Saturday. “That’s my goal.”

Currently, MMA is not legalized in the state of New York – where Madison Square Garden can be found. The UFC has worked hard over the past few years to get the spot legalized, but each time, something comes up in the political world and it is shot down.

The UFC’s 20th anniversary is in November, so there is still plenty of time for things to be sorted out away from the Octagon.
