Jim Miller earned a key victory over Joe Lauzon to close out 2012, improving to 11-3 inside the Octagon.

Now, Miller (22-4) is looking to gain a matter of revenge on Gray Maynard.

Back in 2009, after a pair of victories to start his UFC career, Miller was defeated by Maynard via decision. He went on to post seven consecutive victories before falling to Benson Henderson in 2011.

“It will be four years ago in March,” said Miller, during an interview on MMAjunkie.com Radio recently. “To assume it would be a similar fight would be kind of ignorant to what we’re capable of as fighters.”

Maynard (11-1-1) was the original opponent for Lauzon at UFC 155, but a severe knee injury in training knocked him out. With “The Bully” targeting a return in 2013, Miller said, “I guarantee you nobody else is asking to fight Gray.” Maynard got himself back in the win column following a loss to Frankie Edgar by besting Clay Guida in 2012.
